Of the 270 new coronavirus transmissions the government reported this Monday (September 22), 3 of them were in southern Shan State.
One of the patients already died in Shan State’s capital, Taunggyi, while the other is receiving medical care at the Sao San Htun Public Hospital.

The third case is from Pinlaung Township, located in Taunggyi District, and hasn’t yet arrived at the hospital.
The government’s Ministry of Health and Sports confirmed 6,959 cases at 8:00 p.m. on September 23, while 116 have died and 1,951 recovered.
