Myanmar junta is using one of its air force bases in Namsang township, Southern Shan State for its offensive battles in ethnic regions according to Namsang locals.

It is reported by Namsang residents that military helicopters, used to transport cargos and troops, and fighter jets have been taking off and landing every day.

“Fighter jets and helicopters are flying every day from here. In the past, they were used to transport cargo and troops only, but now fighter jets are also flying,” a local anonymously told SHAN.

According to another local, Myanmar junta is using those helicopters and fighter jets in the battles nationwide especially in the ethnic areas in order to show its military power to oppress people.

“It is a shame to those ethnic armed forces based around Namsang township. Myanmar junta is doing whatever they want in their control region. This is how Myanmar junta is oppressing the ethnic minorities,” the local man added.

A few armed forces, such as RCSS/SSA, SSPP/SSA,  MTA militia group (Mat Kyan militia), Ho Mong militia, Nar Yine militia, and Pa-O armed group, are active around Namsang township.

The local are not happy with those ethnic armed groups because they are doing nothing while Myanmar military junta is using its air force in Namsang to fight against other ethnicities armed forces.
