A woman, who was initially suspected of having COVID-19, but had AIDS, died this Tuesday after returning to northern Shan State on June 8.

The 36-year-old, who was working in China, tested negative for the coronavirus, Dr Han Naing Soe, head of Muse Public Hospital, told SHAN.

Currently, there is only one active COVID-19 case in Muse, a health worker who is undergoing medical treatment at Muse Public Hospital.

This week, locals say very few migrant workers have returned from China.
