Recovered COVID-19 Patient Discharged from Kengtung Hospital

A patient who had recovered from the coronavirus was discharged from Kengtung public hospital on June 5, the head of the hospital told SHAN.

The patient must now stay in home quarantine for seven days, Dr. Hla Htay Min told SHAN.

One other patient remains in mandatory hospital quarantine for a period of 14 days, but has tested negative twice for the virus.

“Currently, there are no COVID-19 positive patients in our hospital,” Dr. Hla Htay Min said.

According to the doctor, there were three COVID-19 positive patients in Kengtung hospital in eastern Shan State. Among them, two patients have already left the hospital.

There are currently eight patients suspected of having the coronavirus in the Kengtung hospital, but none confirmed positive yet.

Ministry of Health and Sports reported that there are 236 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Burma, six deaths and 148 recoveries.

There are two confirmed patients with the virus in Shan State, one in Muse and one in Taunggyi. They are in public hospitals.
