Four people have been admitted to Kengtung Public Hospital with fevers and a cough. Dr Hla Htay Min, the head of the hospital, told SHAN that samples of their tissue have already been sent to the lab to test for the novel coronavirus.

Currently, there are no patients awaiting test results for COVID-19 at Sao San Htun Public Hospital in Taunggyi or at the hospital in Lashio. But Dr Wai Wai Mon, head of Taunggyi Public Hospital, said there are still two confirmed cases receiving medical treatment.

In Shan State, ten cases were confirmed since the pandemic began. Seven have been recovered and have been discharged from the hospital. In addition to two cases in Taunggyi, one COVID-19 patient is being treated at Muse Public Hospital in northern Shan State.

The Ministry of Health and Sports reported there were 286 confirmed cases on June 20, while 192 have recovered and 6 died.
