According to a young man who lives in Na Ban Kyi village, the house which was torched by the military soldiers belonged to a former Na Ban Kyi village ward administrator and a political activist Ko Win Khaing.

“Myanmar military soldiers came and burned the house around 8 P.M last night. Ko Win Khaing is our former ward administrator and National League for Democracy (NLD) strong supporter,” a young man from Na Ban Kyi village told SHAN.

Ko Win Khaing whose house was burned has been on the run with his family since after the military coup in 2021. There was no one at home when the military junta came and lit the house.
