About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team. The BDM will play a key role in expanding our reach, strengthening partnerships, and maintaining strong relationships with members, loyal audiences, and stakeholders. This position is central to driving the organization’s growth through business development, partnerships, and fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify new markets, audiences, and partnership opportunities.
• Develop and implement outreach and engagement strategies.
• Prepare proposals, concept notes, and presentations for prospective partners and donors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members, audiences, partners, and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research and provide insights to guide strategies.
• Represent the organization at events, meetings, and forums.
• Collaborate internally with editors, program leads, and executive management.
• Prepare regular reports and support budgeting and planning processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree is an asset).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in business development, partnerships, fundraising, or sales (experience in NGOs/INGOs is an advantage).
• Strong understanding of business development strategies, donor relations, and proposal/report writing.
• Proficiency in English, Burmese, and Shan languages (required).
