This would inevitablly mean the population transfer, forced relocation, planned relocation, militarization, anti-ARSA deployment are all intertwined. At the end of the day, Bangladesh would be left with the burden of thousands upon thousands of refugees stranded on its soil. No wonder, it is now actively voicing the establishment of safe zones, within Rakhine State, so that it won’t have to shoulder the burden alone. If such a proposal will sail through in the UNSC is, of course, totally another matter.
