ASSK choice is to be pragmatic politician, which means to twist and bend so long as her immediate personal interest, or first priority to stay on in power no matter how powerless, is not at risk. And as a national leader for the Bamar, her second priority is to look after their interest – please read keeping their electoral votes for her in tact.

As such she is not going to do anything that would cost her a bad opinion poll rating, even more so, if it is going to be election period.

Hasn’t she been silent on the plight of Rohingya, war on ethnic nationalities and even on the protest of Salween and Irrawaddy dams all along?

Feeling sorry is a convenient way out and blaming is also a good short time remedy. But at the end of the day, the ethnic and as well the enlightened Bamar, who started to see their real nature of being happy slaves, would have to fend for themselves from these manipulating political creatures, as no one else will free them from this yoke.
