Students Suffer Minor Injuries From Explosion In Northern Shan State

Two students were slightly injured when a bomb exploded in a house near a market in Nawngkio in northern Shan State.

According to a volunteer, the two women are being treated for the explosion, which occurred in the south-western area of Myoma Market at 7:30pm on 1 June.

The man said he was not sure if it was a real bomb or firecrackers. Authorities are currently investigating.

In late May, one person was killed and eight injured when an explosion went off in the office of the director of the Nawngkio Township Education Department.
